Since this is my first experience with blogging I thought an explanation was warranted. I am a classroom teacher that would like to encourage discussions about literature. I would like to use this as a literature circle of sorts. I would like to invite my students to communicate and comment about the current literature that we read as a whole class. Further, I would like to provide those students that may otherwise not feel comfortable commenting or questioning what they are reading opportunities to do so. In addition, offer a forum in which students can have discussions that pertain to literature they are currently reading as part of a literature circle.
